Just a couple reminders. We will be heading to the Rescue Mission this Wednesday to lead the service for the folks there. This Wednesday we have the opportunity to provide the residents with a special treat. Many of you know Jez and Lynzi Blacker, and you may know that Jez is in a band. Well, he and his band mate will be doing a special gig for the folks at 5:30 before the service. This promises to be fun and special time. At 7pm they will also be doing a special Christmas service. Please lift this night up in prayer as they put together the final touches on what will be a memorable night for all of the residents there.
This Friday night (December 17) we will be having a Night of Worship at the Goleta Valley Community Center. We have been doing these now about every 6-8 weeks and they are always a very special and intimate time of worship. I hope you can join us.
On Saturday we will be going out to distribute clothing and other supplies to those in need at Chase Palm park. If anyone would like to join us you are more than welcome. We will be meeting at 10:30am if front of the public restrooms across from Fess Parker's Double Tree Resort. This is a time of friendship building and helping to meet practical needs as we work at putting God's Love in Action. This is always a very special time. Please join us or lift us up in prayer.
We go out once a month so there is always a need for clothing and personal hygiene supplies as well as blankets, tarps, sleeping bags and other warm items.
